Looming Despair
Summary:
A survival card game made for the 2021 Spooktober Game Jam! This is both my first game jam, and my first uploaded game, so I'm a bit nervous.
A lot of ideas were stripped out, but I believe the core gameplay is still decent ^^
Thank you for taking the time to try this game, and I hope you enjoy it!
Controls:
Click the top-most task and select a card. There is an option to select the card with "Yes" and "No" on the card itself.

Known bugs:
Sometimes when the last person dies, and there are no cards left to pull, the game over screen does not appear. I'm not quite sure what is causing this, but I will try to iron it out soon.
When a character goes mad, the game does not end.
Features that are yet to be added:
- Start Menu
- Selecting both the top and bottom tasks.
-Different people suited for different tasks
-Probability indicator
- Equippable items
- Way to bring back people
-Restart Button

Hey! I played your game on my stream! Watch it to see the live review! Here's the link for it: https://www.twitch.tv/spacematterplay π
You could have done better for the game! Keep it up! && I would appreciate if you rated my submission into the contest as well!
Thanks for the in-depth review! Watching the stream, I definitely need a way to drag the cards on top of the tasks to make it easier to play, as well as a way to select the bottom task. I also need a clearer way to convey the instructions.
To clear it up, certain people are not better at certain tasks. I plan to implement that later on! For now, it is a straight 50/50.
I'll be sure to check out your game when I get the chance. Thank you again!
By the way, my name is a pun on Victorious - Victor Eus :D

It's no problem! Yeah, dragging those cards on top of the tasks will definitely enhance the player's experience, the same for the instructions. It's a good game, with a good idea, assigning certain people to do certain tasks. It would be great, though if you could determine who is good for what. Currently you can't do that...
Also, I like the name :). Keep working on your game and hopefuly I'll see you in another jam as well!
